Welcome to Playnist! Our mission is to create a welcoming, positive space for gamers to share their experiences, discover new titles, and connect through their love of games. These Community Guidelines exist to keep Playnist safe, inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.

By using Playnist, you agree to follow these guidelines alongside our Terms of Service. We may take action on content or accounts at our discretion where we believe it violates these guidelines or harms the Playnist community.

1. Be Respectful

• Treat everyone with kindness, even when you disagree.
• Harassment, hate speech, bullying, and personal attacks are not tolerated.
• Discriminatory language or content based on gender, race, sexuality, ability, or religion is not allowed and will be removed.

2. Share Constructive Content

• Honest opinions are encouraged, but keep feedback thoughtful.
• Spam, trolling, or deliberately inflammatory posts are prohibited.
• Avoid excessive self-promotion or irrelevant advertising.

3. Keep It Original & Authentic

• Share content (reviews, posts, images) you created or have permission to use.
• Plagiarism or reposting content from other platforms without credit is not allowed.
• Impersonation of other users, creators, or brands is strictly prohibited.

4. Spoiler Control & Tagging

We love sharing the magic of games, but not everyone plays at the same pace!

• Tag spoilers: If your post, review, or journal entry contains major story or gameplay spoilers, please use spoiler tags to warn others.
• Be considerate: When discussing games publicly, especially new releases, avoid posting untagged spoilers in titles or top of comments.
• Respect hidden content: If another user has marked content as a spoiler, don’t repost or reveal it outside of the tag.

Unmarked spoilers can be removed to keep Playnist enjoyable for everyone.

5. Review Authenticity & Review Bombing

Playnist is built for honest, meaningful gaming experiences.

• Keep reviews genuine: Share your real opinions, based on personal experience. Plagiarized or AI-generated reviews are not allowed.
• No review bombing: Coordinated mass reviews, whether positive or negative, are prohibited. This includes brigading or encouraging others to skew ratings artificially.
• No incentivized reviews without disclosure: Reviews posted in exchange for rewards, gifts, or compensation must be clearly disclosed, or risk being removed.
• Report suspicious activity: If you spot review bombing, duplicate accounts, or inauthentic reviews, please contact us to report.

These measures help maintain fair, trustworthy ratings that reflect the Playnist community’s true experiences.

6. No Harmful or Illegal Content

You may not post:

• Explicitly sexual, graphic, or excessively violent content intended to shock or harm others.
• Piracy, illegal downloads, or hacking content.
• Malicious links, scams, or phishing attempts.

7. Use Playnist Responsibly

• No bots, scripts, or automation to manipulate engagement or scrape data.
• Avoid duplicate accounts or attempts to bypass moderation.

8. Reporting & Moderation

• Use the in-app reporting tools or contact us to report comments and users who break these guidelines.
• Our team reviews reports carefully and may remove content or suspend accounts where necessary.

9. Consequences for Violations

Breaking these guidelines may result in, including but not limited to:

• Removal of offending content.
• Temporary or permanent suspension of your account.
